Gearing up for the next election cycle, Newcastle resident Mitchell Jacob is preparing to announce his candidacy for U.S. House Oklahoma District 4.
Jacob, a Democrat, is holding a campaign kickoff event along with his wife, Rocio, and former State Senator and President Pro Tempore Cal Hobson of Lexington. It will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, August 16 at Mid-America Technology Center, 27438 OK-59 in Wayne.
Jacob said in making the announcement for public office, he will share his vision to build a better Oklahoma.
This event will feature refreshments, merchandise, and remarks from Hobson, followed by Rocio Jacob. Mitchell will speak on issues he is passionate about, followed by an overview of his two current pieces of proposed legislation, and then move into a fundraising segment.
Mitchell is a father, husband, veteran, graduate from the University of Oklahoma College of Law, and a fourth generation Oklahoman. Mitchell said he took an oath to defend and support the Constitution and will continue to fight for the rights of every individual, family and the country.
