July collections of Medical Marijuana taxes were reported by the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority and Purcell had the most collected for the month, when compared to other McClain County communities.
Purcell had $12,578.78 in sales taxes returned to city coffers for July. Newcastle followed with a return of $8,858.59. Blanchard had a return of $4,776.37 to their city coffers. The MMJ had an additional $10,219.40 in returns from Purcell sales, while Newcastle brought in $11,715.10 to the MMJ, and Blanchard added $5,876.64.
State taxes collected from the McClain County communities totaled $24,129.62 with $10,764.43 coming from Purcell, $8,901.14 coming from Newcastle and $4,464.05 coming from Blanchard.
Total sales taxes on July Medical Marijuana sales going to the State to the MMJ and to the county cities was $78,154.50.
