The Quilt Block Challenge contest will once again be featured at the 2025 McClain County Fair.
The contest, to be held during the September 2-6 fair, is sponsored by the McClain County Home and Community Education, (OHCE).
Quilt Block kits are available at the McClain County OSU Extension office, 1721 Hardcastle Blvd. Suite A in Purcell. The cost of the kits is $6 each. All entrants must use only the designated fabric in the kit; no additional fabric may be used. Design is the participants’ choice; original or traditional patterns may be used.
Quilt Block Challenge pre-entries will be August 25, 2025, and physical entry in the county fair will be Tuesday, September 2, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Tickets are now on sale for the 2025 Quilt. The cost for the tickets are $1 each or 6 tickets for $5, they may be purchased from any OHCE member or from the McClain County OSU Extension office. The drawing for this year’s king size quilt will be at the close of the county fair at 3 p.m. September 6. You do not have to be present to win.
