Paxtons celebrate 70th Anniversary

Paxtons celebrate 70th Anniversary
... celebrating 70 years of marriage Clark and Betty Paxton

Clark and Betty Paxton were high school sweethearts and were married July 2, 1955, in Norman, Oklahoma. They are celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary.

They have lived in the Newcastle area for 53 years. Their three children all graduated from Newcastle High School: Dan and wife Lori of Glenrose, Texas; Becky and husband Jay Badry of Norman, Oklahoma; and Tim and wife Victoria of Okemah, Oklahoma. They have nine grandchildren (one deceased), nine great-grandchildren, and one great, great-grandchild.

Clark is retired from the U.S. Air Force. He was stationed in Texas, California, and Germany. He also retired from the FAA at Mike Munroney Aeronautical Center. Betty retired as manager of Kenny Skaggs Tag Agency in Oklahoma City after 35 years.

Through the years they have enjoyed traveling, mostly from one coast of the U.S. to the other, to visit family. They traveled to Canada and took several trips to Mexico. Their children, the grands, greats and great, greats, hosted an “amazing” 70th anniversary celebration for them in the town where their first home was located — Amarillo, Texas.

They are thankful for all their children and many loving extended family members along with many wonderful friends through the years. They are active members of Woodland Hills Baptist Church and give God all the glory for their wonderful family and long marriage.
