Pioneer Library officials have made their desire known to have Maker Labs at all of their facilities. Newcastle is among those locations.
Currently, PLS has a mobile maker lab which visits facilities, but a recently announced $1.4 million upgrade to the Newcastle Public Library would place a permanent Maker Lab here.
Library officials said a Maker Lab can help patrons get started with their next invention. Maker Labs are open during library hours, and staff is available on-site to help learn the equipment, software and tools that are available.
