Ribbon Cutting held for PaperDolls

Ribbon Cutting held for PaperDolls
Ribbon Cutting held for PaperDolls A Newcastle Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting was held for the new location of PaperDolls scrapbooking. Owners Marti and Larry Goodwin did the honors at 1000 N. Main Street in Newcastle. After spending 25 years in her home, in churches, and in the Blanchard Alumni Center, Marti is pleased to open the new location. She said the business provides a place for people to come, make friendships, and work on their projects, such as scrapbooking, quilting, card making, and Cricut. She also offers classes, and the facility can be used for a venue rental. Marti said there are 50 “ladies that come and claim to be a PaperDoll.” She added that it is cheaper than therapy. Tables may be reserved for one day on Fridays and Saturdays for $20, or for both days at $30. Single access from noon to 6 p.m. Wednesday to Saturday is $10. • photo by Mark Codner
