Chickasaw Nation Election Board announces that only incumbents have filed for general election

Chickasaw Nation Election Secretary Jerri Martin announced candidates seeking four legislative seats and one judicial seat within the Chickasaw Nation will be elected without opposition.

Panola District Seat 1 incumbent legislator Beth Alexander, Colbert, will retain her seat as no additional challengers filed for the position.

Pickens District Seat 3 incumbent legislator Charles Marris, Marietta, will retain his seat as no additional challengers filed for the position.

Pontotoc District Seat 5 incumbent legislator Lisa J. Billy, Lindsay, will retain her seat as no challengers filed for the position.

Tishomingo District Seat 2 incumbent legislator Derrick Priddy, Sulphur, will retain his seat as no challengers filed for the position.

Incumbent Supreme Court Justice Mark Colbert, Ardmore, received no challengers and will retain Seat 1 on the court.

The candidates who did not receive a challenger will be elected by a one-vote margin, as the act of filing for office shall be counted as an affirmative vote.
