They’ll have more books available than in years past
Vendors will have their wares available as well
Saturday, June 7 is the date for this year’s Friends of the Library Book Sale and quilt raffle.
The Community Room at Newcastle Library will be filled with used books for sale to the public, and vendors with items such as candles and earrings, etc.
An annual quilt raffle is being held in conjunction with the book sale event, and tickets can be purchased at Newcastle Library at $5 for six tickets. Joyce Stotler has again graciously donated a homemade quilt for the sale (pictured right).
Newcastle Library, located at 705 N.W. 10th Street, is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Fridays, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays, and from 1-5 p.m. on Sundays. The raffle will be held on the day of the book sale.
There is a “huge collection” of books for sale this year because of Sooner State Bank donating space for books to be held throughout the year.
