Retail Sales and Use Taxes continued a downward trend in Newcastle in the May report from the Oklahoma Tax Commission. Newcastle was down just more than $40,000 in the May 2025 report when compared to Sales and Use Taxes combined in the May 2024 report.
Blanchard, Dibble, Noble, Wanette, Wayne and Mc-Clain County gained in tax collections over 2024 for the month of May. Cities on the negative side for 2025, along with Newcastle, included Byars, Cole, Goldsby, Pauls Valley, Purcell, Slaughterville and Washington. Norman had the biggest deficit of just over $281,439. Purcell was down $38,644 and Pauls Valley was down $46,939.
