State Bound in Golf
Golfers Katelyn Kates and Haylee James competed at Regionals last week and qualified for State competition. Both Newcastle golfers played April 23 in the Class 5A Regionals at Oak Hills Golf & Country Club in Ada. With their individual scores there, they qualified for the Class 5A OSSAA State Golf Championship and will travel to Lincoln Park Golf Course in Oklahoma City on May 5-6. • photos by Chris Cates
