Newcastle resident Melvin Gore was pronounced deceased on scene of a wreck April 12 just outside of Rosedale in McClain County.
A report by Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Joseph Robinson of Troop A indicates that Gore, 55, was driving a 2003 black Harley Davidson motorcycle at approximately 3:16 p.m. on 37768 OK-59, approximately a quarter mile from Rosedale when the vehicle departed the roadway to the right, striking a pole.
Robinson’s report indicates that Gore became separated from the motorcycle, coming to rest approximately 45 feet away from the vehicle.
Trooper Robinson further indicates on the incident report that the cause of the collision is considered to be unsafe speed.
