Newcastle earns team spirit donation

Soccer fans in Newcastle on Thursday watched Newcastle Superintendent Dr. Melonie Hau, right, receive a donation to the school system for $6,617 from The First National Bank & Trust Co. as part of its Team Spirit Card Program. Bankers joined the presentation to salute community pride. Fans who carry the Newcastle Racers card from FNBT earn donations to the school with every transaction on their debit cards. This year, FNBT donated more than $82,000 to 20 area schools.
