A Newcastle man and woman were involved in a collision, but neither were injured, at 8:09 p.m. on May 18. The collision occurred on U.S. Highway 77 and Foxtail Drive, about three miles south of Marietta in Love County.
According to Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Hayden Darst, Lesto Casto, 46, of Newcastle was driving a 2013 Ford F-250 and Jordon Doty, 33, of Newcastle, was a passenger. The Trooper’s report states that a vehicle going the opposite direction went left of center for an unknown reason and struck one vehicle, before then striking the Ford F-250.
The cause of this collision is still under investigation.
