Deborah Gene “Debbie” Garrett, 63, of Newcastle, passed away at 6:26 a.m., Monday July 17, 2017, while visiting her son and his family in Fayettville, North Carolina.
Debbie was bon January 31, 1954, in Oklahoma City to Jack and Peggy Dotson. She was a lifeline resident of Newcastle, Oklahoma where she met the love of her life, Perry Don Garrett, and they were married on January 30, 1981, in Denton, Texas. For 36 years, the two built a loving home and family. And after such she enjoyed a successful career as a home health care provider for the last 15 years. Debbie hardly ever knew a stranger, and if she did it was not for long. She was known best for her love toward her husband Pete, and the bond the two shared, her passion for sweet tea, her one of a kind vivacious laugh that she could be identified by from across the way, and for her generosity and loving spirit that over the years enabled her to build lasting and genuine friendships with so many people. She had an amazing capacity to love everyone and the ability to know how to make you feel unbelievably and unconditionally loved regardless of any fault you may have had. Her Home existed as a place for both family and social gatherings from where many still carry fond memories of her delicious cooking and sweet fellowship. Her legacy is far reaching and her passing affect the lives of so many. She will be deeply and forever missed.
Pete, their children and family would like to offer a heartfelt thank you to everyone that knew her.
