| Bigham selected to attend OSSM |
Mason Bigham was recently selected to attend the Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics (OSSM).
OSSM is a residential high school for students academically gifted in science and math. Bigham was one of 71 Juniors selected from the state to attend OSSM.
Candidates are selected by teacher and principal recommendations, high school grades, ACT score, and interest in science and math.

Newcastle Elementary held its annual Back-2-School Night to allow parents and students an opprotunity to meet their new teachers. The eager students found their classrooms, met their teachers, located their desks and put away all their shiny new supplies. Classes started on August 20.
