One look at Dalton Daniel, and there would be little question that his passion is golf.
The 15-year old Newcastle high school freshman certainly looks the part, with his bright Racer blue polo and red hair tucked neatly into a black cap. Daniel does much more than look the part of golfer, winning three tournaments this past summer, including his first tournament of the year on the Oklahoma Junior Golf Tour (OJGT), cementing himself as one of the top golfers in the Boys 12-14 category.
Daniel is currently second in points in his division behind Lane Wallace of Yukon, a golfer he beat by 11 strokes to win the 2013 OJGT Kickoff Classic, held July 8-9 at Jimmie Austin O.U. Golf Club in Norman.
Daniel, who was the only golfer to shoot under par for a round, finished two under par for a total two-round score of 142 at the par-72 course.
