A small crowd of country music fans gathered Monday afternoon inside a Newcastle business as a favored local country band recorded a commercial for Oklahoma City's NBC affiliate.

"The Lower 40" recorded a commercial promoting NBC's late night talk show lineup Monday, April 14 at Trevino's Mexican Deli, 2602 NW 32nd St.

The commercial, filmed by and for local NBC affiliate KFOR Newschannel 4, will be aired to promote NBC's late night lineup, anchored by "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," which has been on the air since Feb. 17.

Fans who came out for the filming are featured in the commercial. Everyone who attended was given a free t-shirt.

"The Lower 40," composed of members from Mustang and South OKC, is currently signed to Land Run Records. The band is currently scheduled to open for Uncle Kracker when he performs June 19 at Newcastle Casino. The band's web site also has them scheduled to perform for the Newcastle July 4 celebration on June 28.

"The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" airs on weeknights beginning at 10:30 p.m., followed by "Late Night with Seth Meyers" on KFOR.
